WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE INANIMATE OBJECT?
I’d have to say my favorite inanimate object is my camera.

Adjectives: Keeping things interesting
This week I am a tangled knot of adjectives: frazzled, exhausted, disturbed, sleep-deprived, overwhelmed and completely and utterly in awe of the fact that I have so much responsibility.
There are so many things that I want to cash in my minutes for. I feel like I only have time to work and, if I am lucky, get dinner and then get to snoozin’.
I have a tenuous love-hate relationship with the life of a college graduate. I thought I would have more free time after graduation, but I have yet to find it.
The best thing to do, I have decided, is savor every minute for what it is.

“It all comes back. Perhaps it is difficult to see the value in having one’s self back in that kind of mood, but I do see it; I think we are well advised to keep on nodding terms with the people we used to be, whether we find them attractive company or not. Otherwise they turn up unannounced and surprise us, come hammering on the mind’s door at 4 AM of a bad night and demand to know who deserted them, who betrayed them, who is going to make amends. We forget all too soon the things we thought we could never forget. We forget the loves and the betrayals alike, forget what we whispered and what we screamed, forget who we were.”
—Joan Didion, On Keeping a Notebook.

“I want a life that sizzles and pops and makes me laugh out loud. And I don’t want to get to the end, or to tomorrow, even, and realize that my life is a collection of meetings and pop cans and errands and receipts and dirty dishes. I want to eat cold tangerines, and sing out loud in the car with the windows open, and wear pink shoes, and stay up all night laughing, and paint my walls the exact color of the sky right now. I want to sleep hard on clean white sheets, and throw parties, and eat ripe tomatoes, and read books so good they make me jump up and down.”
